The Role:
This position is the Project Hook-Up Team Lead who will be accountable for the successful planning and execution of hook-up and provision of offshore commissioning support.
Main Duties:
• Liaise with the Company and detailed design Contractor teams to ensure hook-up considerations are included in detailed design.
• Participate in meetings/workshops that may affect the hook-up scope and activities.
• Input to change management process, in particular assessing impact of design changes to hook-up scope and costs.
• Input to risk management process and maintain register to identify the measures that have been included to mitigate identified risks
• Champion QHSE across the project
• Co-ordinate the offshore hook-up activities with other project teams, in particular Transport and Installation, Subsea and Logistics.
• Prepare the scope of work for the Hook-Up Contract and assist Contracts team in the tendering and selection of the Hook-Up Contractor.
• Engage Hook-up Contractor in the aims and values of the project.
• Following award, day to day responsibility for the management of the Hook Up Contractor including part time attendance in Contractor’s home office.
• Participate in the development of the detailed planning for the offshore hook-up campaign.
• Manage offshore hook-up mobilisation/demobilisation process including Company Hook-up Team and Hook-up Contractor personnel.
• Manage hook-up activities to ensure delivery to plan and successful handover to Commissioning.
• Monitor the progress of the contract execution including the delivery of the required documentation in accordance with the agreed schedule and quality.
• Liaise with the project planning and cost teams regarding the Hook-up Contractor planning and progress.
• Manage changes to the scope of work and associated variations with assistance from Contracts and Procurement team.
• Work closely with Construction and Site Managers, and Commissioning Manager, to track potential carryover work to be completed offshore.
• Work closely with Commissioning Manager to ensure the correct provision of offshore commissioning support by Hook-up Contractor.
• Develop good working relationships with onshore & offshore Operations personnel, and establish / co-ordinate Operations participation during hook-up.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 10 to 15 years experience in oil and gas industry or similar industry, in an engineering/operations role.
• Ordinary/High National/Degree Qualified
• 10 years construction, hook-up and commissioning experience
• 2 to 5 years experience at similar management level
• 2 to 5 years hands on experience of commissioning new process facilities.
• Broad appreciation of all offshore systems and logistics
• Knowledge of construction and commissioning requirements and setting up of procedures
• Familiarity with offshore & onshore permit and work processes.
• PC application skills – Microsoft Word, Excel etc.

• Self-motivated, with a track record of successful offshore project execution
• Effective prioritisation of resources
• Ability to work multiple teams
• Schedule and budget Control
• High degree of customer and delivery focus
