The Role:
Major international operator requires HPHT Completions Engineer with extensive HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) Completion and Well Testing experience.

You need to have a degree or equivalent qualification and at least some 15 to 20 years overall industry experience.

Position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Long term assignment

Develop and optimise testing and completion designs, with key G&G plus Engineering and Production Technology staff.
• Provide assurance that completion designs accord with policies, standards, any applicable Government or regulatory authority requirements and recognised industry standards.
• Analyse performance associated with testing & completion activities and identify potential improvements.
• Support the EH&S performance of well operations and compliance with Corporate and regional EH&S standards.
• Assure the technical integrity of the existing well stock by applying the Well Integrity Management System and managing well interventions
• Engineering Input - well proposals & conceptual planning
• Coordinate with internal functions, to establish feasibility of expectations, and technical limitations of completions
• Testing & Completion options evaluation
• Budget, cost and operational time estimation
• Apply Completion Engineering - assure technical integrity
• Offset well data review
• Completion design & optimisation, including completion components, tubing sizing and stress analysis, vertical lift performance and life cycle engineering etc
• Determine reservoir uncertainties and risk and quantify them
• Sandface completion design and sanding studies
• Production chemistry review and completion metallurgy
• Reservoir drilling and completion fluid selection
• Cost estimation for budget and AFE preparation
• Prepare Basis of Design document
• Performance Improvement.
• Control of the end of well report document and data storage
• Evaluate performance & NPT and identifying improvements
• Issue specific engineering reports (incident, reviews etc)
• Develop completion, testing & well services procedures
• Support Project Well Engineering / Drilling Manager(s)
• Actively keep abreast of new technologies
• Engineering studies and engineering evaluation
• Support contracting and procurement process with technical specifications & evaluation.
• Quality assurance of completion equipment and materials.
• To deliver exceptional EHS performance
• Supervise in-country completion work, procurement.
• Manage and supervise the in-country completion work, this includes all slick line or rig-less intervention.
• Manage the completion and associated in-country contractors (including XMT, slick-line, CT, completion, artificial lift etc).
• Prepare the requisition for the completion and artificial lift work, keep control of the in-country stock and inventory.
• Participate in the technical evaluation for all completion, artificial and well head equipment, make recommendations.
• Well Integrity Assurance
• Coordinate collection and review of production well data to ensure well integrity is maintained
• Manage well interventions as required for well integrity or production optimisation purposes
• Maintain production well files
