The Role:
• Provide comprehensive operational support to all personnel and managers on all HR related matters
• Work closely with management to identify issues and develop pragmatic & effective solutions to meet the business needs
• Oversee work visa process for all assignees to Algeria for the project. Monitor progress of same.
• Provide the management team with regular updates on the progress of work visas as well as identifying obstructions to the process and recommendations to overcome any issues
• Coordinate timely recruitment of for staff and contract positions in London, Algeria and for all project EPC locations: UAE; Italy.
• Coordinate pre-assignment formalities for assignees (including medicals) and follow through progress of new hires
• Facilitate the mobility process with regard to international transfers / relocation and repatriation across operating locations for the project.
• Review suitability of new agency suppliers and come to agreement on terms for engagement to add to existing preferred supplier list
• Prepare agency service orders for new hires and renewals and monitor the return of same.
• Provide advice on interpretation of company policies, systems and procedures ensuring ensure all activities comply with relevant legal and company standards
• Develop and or recommend changes to the HR Manager on existing HR policy to ensure alignment to developments in current legislative requirements and HR best practice.
• Prepare HR Department Process Maps to ensure consistent approach in process implementation to the wider HR team
• Work with line managers to resolve employment relations issues and deliver & improve on individual performance as required
• Track and report on Imputed income for expatriate assignees based in UAE and Italy
• Interface with Houston based payroll team with any employee pay related queries
• Respond to queries regarding staff benefits for local & international employees as required.
• Track, code and audit HR related invoices
• Support HR Manager in with key annual review process including rate reviews
• Preparation, analysis and interpretation of HR relevant data and reports to ensure high standards of data integrity
• Ensure all HR records/documentation are updated on a regular basis and managed with confidentiality
• Maintain cultural sensitivity in all client liaison and promote cultural awareness in project
• Participate in group HR activities as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Educated to degree level, CIPD or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years HR experience in a fast moving dynamic organisation with international operations
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office systems, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience within the oil and gas industry would be an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills
• Self-starter with strong organisational capability
• Team player with willingness to learn and support additional activities as workload dictates
• French language an advantage
