The Company:
Subsidiary of major energy company, operating offshore gas fields and onshore gas processing terminals.

The Role:
Our client requries a Temporary HR Assistant for 2-3 months to assist their HR team during a busy period.

Job Summary/Purpose:
To provide the foundations for the team in terms of administration, organisation, payroll processing, provision of headcount and other statistics / data, and the initial point of contact for queries on policies / procedures. This is a critical role which will support the delivery of the people plan and allow other HR colleagues to act as business partners to their operational colleagues. There will be opportunity for the job holder to support HR projects.

Job Outline & Challenges:
To support the delivery of the People plan, ensuring sound systems, data and processes are embedded across the business, providing a robust basis for the HR team to partner their operational colleagues. Specifically :

Maintain HR routines and systems.
Act as interface with outsourced payroll and admin service (People Services), managing queries and progressing work requests (including new hire contracts and documentation).
Provide some advice and assistance to line managers as appropriate.
Coordinate and maintain monthly headcount figures and other HR metrics for reporting purposes.
Monitor HR metrics against the People Plan and coordinate issues register.
Support ad hoc projects as required.
Coordinate HR meetings/other events as required and assist with diary management within the team.
Liaise with the Recruitment team to maintain an up to date log of current activity.
Raise Purchase Orders and track expenditure against these, as required.
Coordinate the random substance misuse testing process across the assets.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant experience working in a busy Human Resources department.
Motivated, adaptable, positive, self driven, determined individual.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Proven systems capability, esp. Excel and Powerpoint, excellent analytical and organisational skills.
Proven verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of SAP HR preferable.
