The Role:
The HR Compliance and Processes Sr. Manager will lead and manage the Global Employee Relations activities and manage the global HR policies, practices, guidelines and processes on a global basis. This includes, but is not limited to the design, development and communication of HR policies, practices, RACI, and guidelines and facilitating the employee relations activities to include the review and management of the investigations for ethics violations, employee corrective action, investigations for cause, etc. (with partnership as required with legal). The position will serve as the center of expertise for HR line practitioners and the business on a global basis.

Defining and executing global and local HR policies, guidelines and processes in support of the HR function for the Chemical Company
Managing and updating the internal HR approval matrix and all corresponding delegations of authority (DOA).
Cultivating strong relationships with business lines, HR business partners and other Centers of Excellence (COEs), Corporate Security, Ethics Office, and Legal
Handling investigations, some of which will be high profile, of complex and sensitive employee relations situations
Investigating and resolving employee relations issues to include: gathering and analyzing evidence, applying relevant laws, policies and past practice to reach conclusions
Developing and maintaining positive employee relations / workplace strategy and ensuring the equitable application of organization policies and procedures are in place
Delivering Employee Relations (ER)Training to HR population and assisting with creation and execution of ER training for broader management population
Interpreting & applying understanding of corporate policy, employment law, and other regulations to provide immediate advice, guidance or clarification for employee relations inquiries
Providing consultation, guidance and coaching to supervisors, managers and HR business partners to address employee behavior and performance concerns; providing guidance and assisting with the development and delivery of appropriate feedback or corrective/disciplinary actions
Implementing preemptive solutions to mitigate ongoing case occurrence.
Maintaining required documentation for each case, including intake and investigative notes, supporting documents and final reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of Undergraduate Degree in Human Resources required. Master Degree in Human Resources and JD with focus in employment law preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years in Employment Law or Human Resources employee relations as well as exposure to federal, state and country laws and regulations in the major countries of the Client’s operations required. Global experience preferred.
Experience interpreting and applying employment law and government regulations
Critical knowledge and competencies required in customer orientation, decisiveness and judgment, conflict management, investigations and problem solving
Ability to form strong partnerships with all levels within the organization
Ability to manage the execution of people related projects
