The Role:
RESPONSIBILITY/ACTIVITIES
The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring all local HR legislation is adhered to at all
times.
HR Manager will ensure all issues that arise regarding Expatriate employees are directed immediately to the appropriate employing company HR Manager to ensure
appropriate employment legislation is used to manage situations.

The HR Manager is responsible for the following activities:
-Ensure that the Company’s HR procedures are adhered to.
-Be familiar with the company`s HES & Q system and execute his/her work in accordance with the established procedures and instructions.
-Responsible for the overall process of recruitment, selection and training of local additional staff.
-Be responsible for personnel issues in accordance with the Company’s HR procedures and in accordance with local statutory regulations. 

-Take an active part in the evaluation of candidates in connection with advancement.
-Participate in development of both Offshore and Onshore Personnel Handbooks and HR Procedures.
-Provide advice and support to local managers and employees on all matters relating to personnel including policy, contracts, employment law and procedures.
-Keep up to date regarding employers and the authority regulations within own work area.
-Where necessary initiate gap analysis studies to identify areas for improvement in line with local legislative requirements and implement improvements.
-Share knowledge with HR global group of local Human Resources practices and compliance requirements e.g. labour laws, and immigration laws.
-Encourage innovation and initiative and participate in internal reviews of work areas.
-Contribute to quantifiable goals at all levels in the organisation, based on a common knowledge of the Company’s vision, objective, and strategy.
Support global projects, activities and initiatives to fulfil company and client requirements
-Liaise with union representatives on behalf of the company and provide advice to senior management as required
-Participate in the review process of the company`s Compensation and Benefits to ensure they are relevant, cost effective and compliant with labour markets and legislation laws
-Responsible for all negotiations concerning termination of employment
-Maintain confidential and accurate records and ensure HR database is maintained and up to date at all times
- Weekly reporting
- Manage local HR team on a day to day basis


SPECIAL DUTIES
-Execute any specific corporate duties as assigned by VP HR.
-Country specific duties as agreed with Global HR Manager Operations.
-Keep updated regarding all matters within own field and inform the Global HR Manager Operations about possible problems.
-Immediately inform the Global HR Manager Operations if larger problems should occur within own field. Especially authority-and/or contract-requirement
related problems.
-At all times be familiar with emergency situation duties, and take part in the Onshore Emergency Response team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University Degree / Masters in HR related subject or the combination of education and experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position.
Fluent written and oral English.
Must have the right to work in Brazil;
Native level of Portuguese;
Must be able to work in Barra da Tijuca.

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all employees across the
company.
Strong management skills and excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and time manage.
