Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

The Role:
The H&S Advisor – HVdc Specialties will have the responsibility:

The H&S Advisor – HVdc Specialties shall (at the workface level) foster a culture in support of a "Zero Incident" mind set, whereby all accidents are considered to be preventable, by coaching and guiding contractors and to strive for zero harm to personnel, material and non-material assets. The incumbent will reinforce and foster at the site, a belief that sound H&S performance and best practice are fundamental to meeting the Project's overall objectives and success criteria.
The H&S Advisor – HVdc Specialties will be a resource to project management and Site construction management for expertise in applicable regulations, codes and industry best practices.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The H&S Advisor – HVdc Specialties should have experience:

• Formal training in occupational health and safety.
• Engineering Technologist Diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Certified Auditor training in are desirable.
• CRSP, CSP or equivalent designation is an asset.
