The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Job Purpose: Manage HSE aspects of all activities for our client's project in Ghana.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
• Develop project specific management system documentation, based on Ghana HSE management system and other documentation.
• Develop and manage project HSE induction process.
• Develop and manage project HSE programmes and initiatives e.g. malaria awareness, safety rules, etc.
• Develop and monitor project HSE KPIs, ensure appropriate HSE auditing and inspection and coordinate tracking and close-out of HSE corrective and improvement actions.
• Monitor compliance with HSE policies & procedures and recommend corrective or improvement action.
• Monitor and provide input to ESIA process on behalf of project as required by Ghana HSE.
• Provide HSE input to Contracting & Procurement processes, as required.
• Develop and maintain project specific HSE documents (e.g. HSE Plans, local ER Plans etc.)
• Co-ordinate project risk assessment activities including maintenance of the Risk Register
• Input to any project safety Studies e.g. HAZID, HAZOP.
• Assist Ghana HSE Team in liaison with Regulators and other key external Stakeholders
• Support implementation of incident reporting & investigation for the project, including entries to Emex.
• Liaise with HSE personnel in Contractor organisations and participate in the development of appropriate bridging documentation.
• Support the implementation of local ER and oil spill arrangements and ensure adequate provision of personnel and facilities
• Input to any incremental studies focused on HSE impact to existing production facilities e.g. review of Safety Case.
• Monthly compilation and reporting of HSE information and statistics for the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary level qualification in engineering or HSE related subject.
Preferably NEBOSH general certificate or higher (international diploma), equivalent qualifications considered.
Minimum of 10 years oil and gas sector experience.
Minimum of 5 years HSE experience, with credit given for operational experience.

• Demonstrates knowledge of technical HSE

• Demonstrates a determined and independent approach to HSE performance delivery and displays resilience in the face of obstacles
