The Company:
Our client has been engaged in the exploration and production of natural gas in the Netherlands and the North Sea Continental Shelf since 1964. In the Dutch sector of the North Sea, gas is produced from 22 platforms and 3 subsea production installations. Most of the platforms are unmanned and remotely operated; four have gas treatment facilities.

The Role:
Description of tasks:
• Monitor proper application of the Corporate Management System (HSE company rules, ‘Arbo’rules, mining and environmental legislation) by means of inspections and audits, both onshore and offshore.
• Investigate and analyse accidents, incidents and anomalies, and monitor the follow-up of recommendations.
• Monitor and participate in the implementation of Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RIE) in operational activities.
• Participate in preparations for offshore-related activities, such as HAZID, HAZOP, JSA, etc.
• Define, assess and monitor the quality of safety training of personnel (company employees and contractors) and advise training institutes.
• Maintain contact with the relevant authorities (SodM / Coast Guard / local fire brigade, etc.).
• Advise Department Heads and operational staff on HSE aspects.

The HSE Advisor reports to the HSE Coordinator and/or the Head of the HSE Department.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• You have completed education at MBO/HNC level or higher (HSE-related).
• You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a drilling, production or construction role in the oil and gas industry.
• You are a pro-active and independent advisor, a team player, and have good communication and motivational skills.
• You are able to cope with deadlines and work accurately.
• You have a good knowledge of English and Dutch (spoken and written).
• You are familiar with Microsoft applications, interested in other software applications.
• You are in possession of driver’s licence.
