The Role:
Advising and supporting Suncor Energy Norge AS on all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management matters and regulatory process for the planning stages of the Beta Development in Area PL375. Position reports to the EH&S Manager Norway but provides day to day support to the Beta Development, Project Lead. A major focus of this position is to develop the regulatory roadmap for the Beta Development. He/she will also play a major role in the development of a strategy document detailing the main development milestones, both regulatory and internal, and the deliverables required to reach formal and internal approval of each one of these major development stages. Develops, implements and maintains the regulatory consents and licenses required to support the Beta Development. Ensure that all EH&S and regulatory aspects of the development are identified and addressed. Ensure that Suncor Norway activities are complying with legislative requirements as stated within the relevant Norwegian regulations related to Beta Development planning and execution. Ensures that all EH&S aspects related to progressing the Beta Development up to the Gate 2 review and identified and addressed. Monitoring and reporting of EH&S performance of activities. Support development and implementation of corporate and E&P HSEQ initiatives related to the Beta Development.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in HSE Management
Min 10 yrs oil industry exp, 5 in HSE role working on Proj Dev in Norway
Comprehensive knowledge of current oil & gas industry health (OSHAS 18001)
Comprehensive knowledge of Safety ("Veiligheids Checklist Aannemers")
Environment (ISO 14001) management practices and procedures
Quality (ISO 9001) management practices and procedures
Extensive knowledge of current Norwegian legislation (prod fac development)
Excellent communication skills
Competent in the application of IT packages (inc MS Office)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Background in HSE Engineering
