Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide.

The Role:
Role Outline
A qualified and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Professional is required to work on construction sites in the Midlands area down to Grendon.

Main Accountabilities

• Conduct HSE construction site inspections including verification of close-out actions;
• Conducting HSE internal audits including verification of close-out actions;
• Develop Construction Phase HSE Plans;
• Conduct incident investigation down to root cause level and produce thorough written reports;
• Analysis of HSE data and development of action plans to address any issues raised;
• Provide support to the site management team to ensure a rigorous review Risk Assessments and Method Statements is conducted to ensure safe systems of work are both appropriate and effective;
• Promoting Electricity Alliance Central culture to clients, supply chain and employees thorough presentation, campaigns etc

EAC Organisation

• Provide HSE support throughout the organisation as required

Customer

• Build relationships with customers
• Delivery customer requirement
Promote EAC positive Health and Safety culture

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential
• A candidate with experience in Health and Safety and Environmental management in a HV substation environment ( minimum 5 years experience);
• Nationally recognised H&S qualifications are essential with membership of an appropriate Institute preferred (minimum NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
• The role requires a team player, able to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and determination to deliver continuous improvement throughout the various elements of an electrical power project management business. Candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills. A high level of IT literacy is essential.
• National Grid BESC and Person Authorisations.
