The Company:
Our client has an immediate opening for a Project Construction HSE Advisor for an on-site position in Kitimat . The primary role responsibilities include:

•Utilizes a solution based approach to HSE management

The Role:
•As the client representative oversees contractor HSE programs for Early Works
•Implements appropriate OH&S legislation as it applies to the project
•Support project HSE manager in the development and administration of project HSE strategies and provide leadership in the implementation of project HSE management systems in accordance with client requirements
•Administer the project HSE plan in alignment with corporate and client HSE management systems
•Schedule and perform regular inspections and site walk-through
•Oversee behavior based observation and conversation program
•Act as a liaison with the on-site construction management team
•Administer and support project incident management protocol inclusive of root cause analysis and identification of preventative measures/actions
•Attend regularly scheduled project HSE meetings with contractors
•Support site orientation and on-boarding process for all workers
•Administers the project WCB Claims Management process

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Canadian Resident and/or Citizen preferably resides in British Columbia
•Post-Secondary (e.g. College or University level OH&S Program) or combined level of experience and training considered.
•NCSO designation or equivalent
•Strong skills/experience in Root Cause Analysis
•Minimum 5 years Previous management/supervisory experience on mega projects
•Excellent Driving (Class 5) record
•Training facilitation experience
•Detailed, analytical, problem solver
•Excellent computer and technical writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential
•Familiar with COAA Canadian Model Alcohol and Drug based programs
