The Company:
Our Client provides oilfield products, systems and services for customers in the oil and gas industry world-wide. They apply the knowledge and create and use technologies that deliver their customers' solutions.

The Role:
To ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, industry standards and best practice. This will include facilitating hazard identification and risk assessment processes, liaising with regulatory bodies, maintaining key documentation and incident/accident investigations.
The HSE Advisor will provide guidance and advice to teams and identifying opportunities for improvement to overall HSE standards and performance forms an important element of the role.
Further responsibilities will include meeting the internal HSE audit program in line with the framework of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Working alongside the Managers and operational teams, the HSE Advisor will provide an efficient and effective range of supporting functions in relation to the development/implementation and review of the HSE policies/procedures to ensure compliance.
To challenge and correct any non standard course of action or potential actions and to act as focal point with internal and external organisations and colleagues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
NVQ 4/NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
Demonstrable relevant experience of working in an HSE Department, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
A recognised Environmental qualification
Formal training in the OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001 Standard
Training in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
Training in Chemical Management/COSHH
Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge in SAP
Commercially aware
Customer focused
