The Role:
Accountabilities and End Results:
Ensure that the HSE management system is effective and well-functioning. Support project team in active and visible promotion of HSE excellence and monitoring of work activities/identifying potential hazards. Ensure full compliance with project HSE requirements and applicable regulations. Perform incident reporting.

Primary Functions & Dimensions:
 Cooperate Company Representatives in all key safety, work environment, and environmental issues arising to ensure a common approach across project.
 Ensure that sound HSE principles form an integrated part of the execution and that all safety aspects are covered.
 Ensure that Company HSE policies and procedures are adhered to by providing focus in these areas.
 Review relevant project documents and procedures.
 Cooperate with contractors to enhance HSE competency and awareness in line with the PSI, Company Zero Mindset, and contractor IIF programs.
 Spend a significant amount of time, visibly engaged in monitoring work progress and identifying potentially hazardous situations. Personally contribute to safe working practices on the “shop floor”.
 Initiate, coordinate and follow-up the offshore HSE Program and Activity Plan.
 Report any violations to safe working practices.
 Participate in Job Safe Analysis (JSA) meetings, risk assessment, attend toolbox talks, perform PSI conversations, and submit proposal for individual safety awards.
 Participate in HSE audits and inspections according to the audit/inspection plans.
 Monitor emergency response drills and training and ensure they are effectively performed.
 Ensure Company requirements for reporting of accidents and near misses are met and that lessons are learned and efficiently communicated to the project. Participate in accident and incident investigations as required.
 Verify that safety systems on the installations are in place and in accordance with safety plot plans and firewater requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Critical Skills:
1. Core Technical Experience
 Previous experience in HSE management in the oil & gas industry.
 Previous Experience with specialist or supervisory responsibilities and with
major projects
 Experience from leading a multi-discipline project team through the engineering, construction and completion phases of a project.
 Experience with HSE management systems development and evaluation.

2. Qualifications
 University degree / B.Sc. or comparable education.
 Less formal education may be compensated with documented relevant experience.

3. Personal Characteristics
 Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
 Have demonstrated interpersonal / teamwork skills, and strong written and oral communication skills.
 Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
