A Major Operator

The Role:
All Subsea HSSE Site Representative shall:
• Demonstrate HSSE commitment through their actions
• Deliver results by holding themselves and others accountable for HSSE performance
• Perform job functions in a manner which prevents incidents, eliminates harm to people and does not damage the environment
• Immediately report all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor and to the HSSE Advisor assigned to the project scope
• Actively participate in HSSE meetings, provide HSSE support in all Project specific meetings
• Read and understand the HSSE management plans and your individual roles in its implementation
• Complete training as outlined in the GOM Virtual Training Assistant and/or company specific requirements
• Comply with the company's facility, travel, and driving safety requirements
• Be aware of individual environmental roles and responsibilities as identified in the GOM region Environmental Management System
• Participate in the appropriate behavioural based safety programs (Safety Observations & Conversations, STOP, EASY or equivalent)
• Share, capture and implement HSSE lessons learned and best practices within the project
• Stop work that is unsafe – STOP THE JOB

HSSE Performance Focus Areas
• Initiate a new HSSE Daily report upon assignment to each project
• Participate in Bi-Weekly HSSE Site Lead conference calls (at least once per hitch, optional on days off)
• Confirm all equipment, current procedures, and any required risk assessments are complete and have been reviewed by all personnel involved with the operation, prior to executing the work.
• Ensure that a Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) is conducted effectively for all jobs and that they are properly documented. Participate in JSEA’s conducted on the facility on a routine basis. Note that JSEA’s should be conducted at the Work Site unless current facility operations make it unsafe to do so
• For any deviations from existing procedures, ensure that a properly executed MOC has been completed, prior to executing the work.
• Reinforce STOP the JOB authority vessel wide.
• Define routine and non-routine lifts on-board and confirm a proper lift plan / risk assessment have been completed, as required.
• Confirm that the incident notification chart for the upcoming scope of work is onsite and the listed onshore HSSE and onshore line management contacts for the accountable divisions (GPO, GWO, or GOO) have been made aware their scope of work is about to begin, prior to executing the work activity and upon completion. (email confirmation or verbal confirmation if email communications are not available)
• Review Vessel Control of Work (COW) procedures,Company/ Vessel contractor HSSE Bridging Document COW requirements, and the company's Safe Practice Manual requirements and elevate any gaps noted to the VPICs for mitigation as needed.
• Monitor vessels HSSE compliance periodically throughout shift and report out in daily report.
• Make sure we are allowing adequate time for procedural review by CVR’s, APICs, and Vessel Management for upcoming tasks and discuss upcoming activities with crews during daily shift change meetings.
• The HSSE Site Representative will complete HSSE Self-Verification Checklist as per the procedure.
Maintaining clear communications and keeping the focus on safety will provide a safe work environment and efficient operations across all vessel activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Offshore certifications (HUET/TWIC/SafeGulf)
Subsea experience required
