The Role:
Provision of HSE support and advice to staff and contractors
•Assisting with the development of a proactive HSE culture
•Support the implementation & execution of HSEQ Management System processes in the execution of the company projects, drilling & production operations
•Act as a competent point of contact for external regulatory and other stakeholders
•Provide positive HSEQ mentoring throughout the business unit
•Provide assistance to the in developing and implementing HSEQ processes
•Provide HSE Management assistance for all UK Office locations.
•Assist in UK Emergency Response management, including being on call
•Develop and implement HSE Campaigns

Specific Responsibilities
•Provide support in planning and performance monitoring to drive excellent HSE performance in both staff and contractor communities
•Provide support to HSE Meetings /Conference Calls between E.ON E&P and Contractors / service companies as required
•Provide competent HSE inputs at HAZIDs, HIRAs, HAZOPs, SIMOPS, design reviews, gate reviews etc
•Manage HSE expert contractors / consultants for specific work scopes
•Act as a competent point of contact for external Regulatory and other stakeholders
•Prepare, organise and deliver general and issue specific HSE training as required
•Act as the main liaison for UK non-operated assets and develop assurance and assessment mechanisms to ensure that the HSE performance is robust and in line with company expectations
•Establish and lead HSE Campaigns to target key risks associated with operational assets and projects
•Support the collection and timely reporting of key proactive and reactive HSE metrics to the organisation
•Participate in (and where appropriate lead) incident investigation teams including closeout of actions; Ensure that non operated partners carry out appropriate and effective incident investigations. Ensure that the company associated actions are completed on time and in full. Monitor action close out non operated installations
•Participate in offshore / onshore HSE Audits/assessments on operated assets and/or contractors as required
•Provide a competent resource for emergency preparedness and response management; develop and manage emergency response exercises and interface documentation as required.
•Provide a HSE resource for vessel assessment and mobilisations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Min. 5 years relevant experience in the UK offshore Oil & Gas sector working on HSE issues
Recent Advisor experience in / directly supporting an E&P business
Good knowledge of HSE regulation as pertaining to the UKCS E&P industry
An appropriate HSE based qualification, ie NEBOSH Diploma / Bachelors / Master's Degree
HSE training experience
Offshore survival & medical certificates
Experience of Incident Investigation – analysis of safe cards, asset incidents and Industry incidents – be able to lead incident investigations
Ability to work at offshore/onshore, project/Governmental level
Excellent communication and influencing skills
The provision of practical and well thought out solutions to HSE requirements
Organised, task driven and proactive
Planning and supervisory skills
Ability and determination to develop and learn
Consummate team player
