As one of the world’s leading engineering companies, Our Client assists in their customer's use of electrical power and aims to increase industrial productivity in a sustainable way.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to join a leading global engineering firm, working in Western Australia. The ideal candidate will have extensive civil and electrical construction experience, hold current and valid Rio Tinto induction tickets along with tertiary HSE qualifications. Proven incident report experience, with qualifications/certification to support, i.e. Taproot training or similar would also be highly desirable. This position is offered on a 4/1 FIFO rotation and is scheduled to run for approximately three months.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Proactively lead to ensure HSE working practices and programs are further developed and maintained throughout the Project.
• Ensure accountability and high-level HSE performance throughout the Project.
• Coach and support people at all levels of the Project to realize an exemplary HSE culture as part of our total commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and a zero incident workplace.
• Support the Site Manager by providing HSE advice and guidance to all levels of the Project.
• Act as the Project HSE interface to clients and contractors
• Actively participate in the scheduling of HSE audits & meetings across project & review HSE performance and system implementation.
• Assist project teams in investigation of all incidents and ensure proper records are completed and submitted. Assist in implementation of corrective actions as it relates to the incident and ensure “lessons learned” are communicated throughout the project.
• Serve as the project expert within the field of HSQ when called upon to address compliance issues.
• Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the project to create a culture that prioritizes effective HSE management.
• Review, implement and maintain compliance to HSE standards, management system and procedures and practices.
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments
• Devise, supervise, and coordinate induction and training programs which will increase proficiency in safe and environmentally aware practices and promote HSE consciousness onsite.
• Assist with the overall site administration, ensure HSE administration is completed and relevant HSE records are retained.
• Maintain 70% site and 30% office presence
• Maintain HAZID and incident registers on a weekly basis, and/or when required.
• Compile incident reports and lead investigations
• Attend site meetings as and when required.
• Actively identify hazards at site and advise site manager and involved parties immediately
