Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
HSE accountabilities
• Support the Area Operations S&OR Health & Safety Team Leader and Area Operations’ teams with HSE expertise, analysis, assessments and any other capacity required.
• Maintain a high level of focus on health, safety and environment across the facilities within respective Area Operations and review cross-site common processes for consistency and continuous improvement.
• Assist the Area Operations S&OR Health & Safety Team Leader in Site HSE&ER Advisors’ succession planning and deployment.
• Spend considerable time and energy coaching and developing national Site HSE&ER Advisors. This will require site visits and time spent with deployed teams.
• Develop, manage and monitor progress of individual National Site HSE&ER Advisors’ through the Competency and Development Programme, measuring and reporting progress quarterly. Set individual targets and Coach, Assess and Verify competence attainment.
• As HSE Specialist assume overview role of consistent and thorough implementation of the following systems and documents: ISSOW; Tier 3-5 Procedures: Incident Investigation and Traction Reporting; Represent Area Operations and provide HSE Specialist support to the AGT Safety Systems/CoW procedures review/revision process.
• Working closely with Area Operations S&OR H&S Team Leader to liaise with broader Health & Safety organization, Platform OIMs, training and other support groups to ensure that operations’ needs are communicated and addressed.
• Providing support and work closely with HS&ER Specialists Development Leader on development and implementation of HSE programmes to drive consistency and standardization in HSE coaching and development to deliver safe, compliant and reliable operations across AGT Operations and Wells.
• Serve as focal point for Operations on broader HSE issues (e.g., safety equipment maintenance contracts and strategies etc) supporting the Area Operations S&OR H&S Team Leader.
• Participate in and/or lead site incident investigations where requested.
• Act as focal point for editing and quality check of all investigation reports prior to submission to management.
• Periodically participate in risk assessments, safety meetings, QPRs, Internal Assurance Audits, permitting and on-site activities; offer input and best practices aimed towards consistency and improvement.
• Provide support to the Area Ops S&OR H&S Team Leader and Area Operations in various HSE-related reviews or projects (e.g., S&OR audits, PHSERs, iSSOW, etc.).



Emergency Response accountabilities:

• Support the Area Health & Safety Team Leader and Operations with Emergency Response expertise, analysis, assessments and any other capacity required.
• Maintain a high level of focus on Emergency Response capability and state of preparedness across the platforms and review cross-site common procedures and Emergency Response Plans for consistency and continuous improvement.
• Assist the Area Operations and the S&OR Health & Safety Team Leader in identifying most suitable ER team structure and succession planning where appropriate.
• Spend considerable time and energy coaching and developing all offshore staff with Emergency Response duties. This will require site visits.
• Create a suite of theoretical training materials with objectives and learning outcomes with associated notes to allow for selected National Site HSE&ER Advisors development into future ER Specialist/Coaching role.
• Create a suite of practical training drills and exercises complete with assessment criteria.
• Create a generic guidance for the brief and debrief of platform exercises focussing on individual roles and skills, teamwork and leadership.
• Manage and monitor progress of individual ERT team members through the Emergency Response Competency and Development Programme, measuring and reporting progress quarterly. Set individual targets and Coach, Assess and Verify competence attainment.
• Liaise with HS&ER Programme Development Leader to ensure consistency of ER training and strategy.
• Act as focal point for management and maintenance of Emergency Response equipment service provider.
• Liaise with local training providers to ensure quality and suitability of proposed training materials and events. Provide company specific input and conduct follow up auditing of training delivery and facilities.
• Periodically participate in risk assessments, safety meetings, QPRs, Internal Assurance Audits, permitting and on-site activities, where relative to emergency response - offer input and best practices aimed towards consistency and improvement.
Acting as an HSE role model.
• Regular offshore travel is required as part of this role which is on a residential basis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BSc degree, or equivalent, in an environmental, engineering or science subject
• Set the standard. Embed HSE & Emergency Response as a core value and cultural attribute within AGT Operations.
• Demonstrate commitment to HSE & Emergency Response via exceptional safety behaviors & coaching skills.
• Demonstrate strong personal and team coaching, training and mentoring skills.
• Concentrate on developing National Site HSE &ER Advisors into standalone HSE or other leadership capacities and as well as ER members and offshore management.
• Assure consistency in application of HSE & Emergency Response between all Areas Operations.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently – be cognizant of cultural/language communication barriers.
• Be inclusive and exhibit cultural awareness and diversity.
• Lead by example always and everywhere – safety, production, cost and social.
• Develop a “one team” approach within all of Offshore Operations.
Oversee HSE by wandering and discussing.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
o 10 years of Offshore HSE & ER experience
o HSE international qualifications
o Thorough knowledge of HSE practices
o Thorough knowledge of Emergency Response practice
o Coaching/mentoring skills
o Proven leadership skills, including HSE leadership
o Highly effective verbal communication skills, able to engage with and effectively influence site personnel
