The Role:
Operate & maintain the Health, Safety and Environment Manuals which involves the following items:

Carry out, maintain and review the Risk, COSHH, Manual Handling and PUWER Assessments and Registers

Carry out Display Screen Equipment (DSE) user training, co-ordinate self-assessments and address issues in the action log
Maintain the Fire Safety Logbooks

Maintain the Water Hygiene Logbooks

Carry out Contractors Orientation for all contractors, suppliers, customers and other visitors to Enovate

Systems and maintain the Register

Co-ordinate Off-Site Work & Overseas Travel

Co-ordinate Working at Height and Working in Confined Spaces

Carry out HSE Inductions & awareness training

Ensure the HSE Training Matrix is kept up to date and training planned and completed for all employees – liaise with the Facilities & Workshop Assistant for booking the training and filing training certificates

Co-ordinate and carry out Workplace Inspections in conjunction with appointed representatives of employee safety and Enovate Systems senior management

Carry out Operational Control Self Audits (legal compliance)

Assist with HSE Management System Internal Audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the management systems and procedures, and identify and implement improvements

Assist with Supplier and Customer HSE Audits

Monitor the Housekeeping checks and registers for completion

Raise HSE Corrective Action Reports. Maintain and ensure closed out to schedule in the Register

Co-ordinate Occupational Health requirements

Co-ordinate the First Aid requirements including maintaining the register of First Aiders and ensure the adequate provision of first-aid and welfare facilities. Ensure all First Aiders are appropriately trained

Assist in HSE Incident Reporting and Investigation and maintaining the register

Deputise for the HSE Manager (absence)

Co-ordinate and assist with the development and delivery of employee well-being and working for health schemes and initiatives

Liaise with the Facilities & Workshop Assistant to maintain the Facility and Work Equipment Schedule and Tracker to ensure planned facility and work equipment maintenance is completed to schedule and evidence filed

Work in conjunction with colleagues to maintain and improve service to all clients and customers, whether internal or external to the Company

Provide QA/QC support where required.

Other Duties – the employee must

Lead by example in QHSE compliance

Comply with the Enovate Systems QHSE

Management Systems, including QHSE Policies and Procedures

Work in accordance with the information and training provided and not undertake any task for which authorisation and/or training has not been given

Take reasonable care to prevent harm to themselves and consider the potential for harm to others or the environment that may be caused by their acts or omissions

Report any hazardous defects in plant, equipment and workplace, or shortcomings in the existing controls, to a responsible person without delay

Refrain from intentionally misusing or recklessly interfering with anything that has been provided for Health, Safety and/or Environmental reasons

As a sponsor of visitors, prior to and on arrival communicate the Visitors Safety Brief and any additional HSE Induction

Dispose of waste using the correct waste streams and avoid energy waste

Comply with and be bound by Enovate Systems Employee Code of Conduct, Equality & Diversity and Intellectual Property Policies.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A professional qualification minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate

Education to Higher Level – desirable

Competent in Microsoft Office applications and electronic mail systems

At least two years experience in a health, safety and environment position

Basic knowledge and experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment

Knowledge of oil and gas industry practices

A personal commitment to continuous self-development and to take ownership of own personal and professional development

Understanding of and ability to undertake and apply risk assessments

Experience or clear knowledge and understanding of undertaking health and safety audits, inspections or reviews

Experience of delivering health and safety training courses including HSE Induction and Toolbox Talks

Must have good written and oral communications. Required to speak effectively before groups of management, clients, subcontractors, and/or employees of the company
