The Role:
- To vide general HSE Support on projects or at operational facilities
- To work together with the HSE Lead on assigned projects for HSE improvement needs for items such as Developing HSE work plans and Bridging documents, safety training, Permit to Work processes, JSA processes, risk/hazard assessment, accident investigation and onsite inspection.
- The incumbent will functionally report to the HSE Lead or HSE supervisor
- The work scope will cover the planning and execution of Health, Safety and Environmental support programs/processes, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Assist on HSE work plan development.
2. Provide onsite general safety training for items including but not limited to Site orientation, Energy Isolation, Lifting and Hoisting, Confined Space Entry, Hazard Communication, Environmental procedures and Spill Control, Hot Work Procedures,
3. Working at Heights/Scaffolding.- Participate and provide guidance on the Permit to Work process.
4. QA/QC of the JSA process.
5. Provide onsite coaching, consulting, inspection of the construction/site HSSE work.
6. Assist the construction /site team on assigned projects with HSE records and statistics.
7. Participate in evaluation of HSE performance of contractors and Site Team and recommend improvement alternatives where necessary.

A key requirement will be to target 80% of on deck time with the construction /site workers when assigned to a location. (Minimize office type work)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years working experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with prior HSE experience is required
2. Technical (including HS&E) and operations assignments in one or more of Shell’s operating companies or businesses is desired
3. Experience as an HSE Coach is desired
4. Experience with subsea/pipeline HSE is desired
5. Prior experience in Hazard assessment/Risk assessment processes is desired.
6. Applying HSE statutes and regulations and company HSE standards is desired.
7. Supervisory assignment is desired but not required.
8. Offshore work experience is required for offshore projects and operating facilities.
9. Construction (offshore or onshore) experience is required for projects facilities.
