The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
This is a site based position to support the PSCM / ASCO Supply Base onsite Management, Wells and Operations site based contractors and Logistics and Subsea Operations Departments with Emergency Response and HSE expertise, reporting to the Health & Safety Team Leader, Logistics Infrastructure/Supply Base Ops/Subsea Ops & Pipelines; with daily reporting relationship with the PSCM Supply Base and Quayside H&S Team Leader.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide support to the Logistics Infrastructure and Subsea Operations Health and safety Team Leader in various HSE-related issues, reviews or projects.
Support the PSCM Supply Base and Quayside Health & Safety Team Leader with professional Emergency Response and HSE expertise, ensuring compliance with Azerbaijan legislation.
Manage annual revision of PSCM Supply Base and Quayside Emergency Response Plan, and follow up on all ER Plan related improvement actions.
Act as focal point for management and maintenance of Emergency Response equipment, working closely with engineering disciplines, contractors’ maintenance teams and service providers.
Spend considerable time and energy coaching and developing site based fire team and contractors personnel with Emergency Response duties. Create a suite of practical training drills and exercises complete with assessment criteria. Create a suite of theoretical training materials with objectives and learning outcomes with associated notes to allow site based National ER Adviser’s development into future ER Specialist/Coaching role.
Maintain a high level of focus on Emergency Response capability and state of preparedness of the entire Supply Base. Review Emergency Response Plans for consistency and continuous improvement.
Spend considerable time and energy coaching and developing national HSEAs. Implement and coordinate the H&S Advisor Competency and Development Programme. Monitor the progress of PSCM Supply Base and Subsea Operations H&S Advisor’s through coaching, measuring and reporting progress quarterly. Set individual targets and Assess and Verify competence attainment.
Participate in and/or lead site incident investigations where requested.
Periodically participate in risk assessments, safety meetings, QPRs, Internal Assurance Audits, permitting and on-site activities; offer input and best practices aimed towards consistency and improvement.
Assume overview role of consistent and thorough implementation of the following systems and documents: Control of Work; Tier 2-5 Procedures: Incident Investigation and Traction Reporting;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Higher level education in relevant technical discipline
Demonstrate commitment to HSE via exceptional safety behaviours & coaching skills and also demonstrate strong personal and team coaching, training and mentoring skills.
Establish and foster working relationships with Wells, PSCM and Logistics Department’s key teams and people.
Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments, Occupational Health

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Emergency Response and Health and Safety Qualifications e.g Graduate Institution of Fire Engineers, NEBOSH Diploma with relevant industrial experience
