The Role:
*Local Korean Position / Korean language is a requirement / No expatriate package available with this position

Reporting to the Q204 Project HSE Lead, the HSE Inspector supports and assures the achievement of Project HSSE objectives at Project worksites. A key requirement of this role is to act as a representative of the Project Team, monitoring the safety of work scope delivery activities, providing HSE support where appropriate and bringing safety performance shortfalls to the attention of Contractor and Project Management in a constructive and pragmatic manner.

The role demands a flexible approach to meet varied Project location and schedule requirements, with specific focus on supporting the Q204 Delivery teams during the construction and commissioning of the Q204 Project to ensure consistent high standards are applied across the project at all levels aligned, reached and maintained on all Project locations.

Lead a few HSE Inspectors

• Rapidly develop a competent understanding of Company and relevant Contractor HSSE standards, policies and procedures.
• Provide an excellent safety example at all times, in line with Company and Contractor HSSE rules and requirements and BP Golden Rules of safety
• Assess work performance against Company, Contractor and HSE Regulation requirements. The role will demand a thorough understanding of, and commitment to, risk assessment based safety performance. Attend and lead where required, task risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Develop effective and influential working relationships with workforce and management to create an environment in which assistance in developing safety performance is welcomed and trusted.
• Provide high quality and knowledgeable safety coaching on a wide range of workplace activities including manual handling, lifting, hot work, work at height, energy isolation, confined space entry, heavy vehicle & forklift operations, scaffolding and
• Challenge performance issues at all levels, influencing behaviours in a mature, positive and pragmatic manner. Prepared to step in and stop a job wherever safety is considered to be immediately at risk.
• Using Contractor and/or Company workplace systems, raise constructive verbal and written hazard observations and safety suggestions.
• Conduct behavioural safety audits/conversations and complete required reporting and follow up where necessary.
• Attend toolbox meetings to ensure that HSE is discussed and fully understood by the workforce.
• Take part in the review of all JHA’s and ensure the correct detail is captured and understood by the workforce.
• Work with BP & HHI personnel to address any hazards that may have been identified on the project.
• Undertake site safety audits as required. Produce accurate written reports on worksite safety performance and inspections. Demonstrate a good level of attention to detail.
• At all times demonstrate a high level of motivation, a strong work ethic, personal integrity and a genuine commitment to safe working.
• Support the effective investigation of workplace incidents.
• Assist with emergency response

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience working for major Oil & Gas Operators in fabrication yards in a client HSSE role.
• NEBOSH certificate or Diploma, or equivalent recognized safety qualification.
• Good understanding of Control of Work / Permit To Work during both construction and commissioning periods
