The Company:
A Leading Operator within the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
The HSE Lead shall implement the project’s HSE System and coordinate all project related HSE work during onshore construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in developing and maintaining the HSE Management / Activity Plan, HSE strategies and other project documents necessary for the project’s HSE work processes.
- Play a central role in building and maintaining a strong HSE commitment and culture within the Project Topside Team
- Ensure the implementation of site Safety Management System; deliver on pre-agreed site and project HSE&Q targets for Company and Contractor staff.
- Proactively participate in preparing the construction site(s) for construction
- Participate in HSE related activities - Tool Box Meetings, Site HSE walks / inspections.
- Ensure that all Construction Yards have Safety Routines such as Job Safety Analysis, Safety Walk- Through, Near Miss & Incident Investigation, Are using Observation Techniques and learning from others Incidents
- Provide Project Manager and Project Team Members with guidance within the field of Site HSE
- Participate in review and acceptance of JSA / Construction Method statement submittals.
- Initiate Safety initiatives and work processes such as application of Cardinal Rules, Personal Safety Initiatives (PSI) and Job Observation Cards. Build a Culture for proactive reporting at the work sites.
- Be a visible HSE promoter and motivator and ensure reporting on HSE Leading Indicators according to company requirements.
- In liaison with other relevant HSE groups within the company, ensure that relevant corporate guidelines, procedures and systems are adhered to.
- Promote knowledge sharing – Safe working practice & experiences and seek knowledge from other projects/ organizations. Participate in establishing close-out report for the project where relevant.
- Prepare input to weekly and monthly management reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- University degree / B.Sc. or comparable education
- Less formal education may be compensated with documented relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in HSE management in the oil and gas industry
- Generally skilled in relevant IT applications
- Experience with EPC type contracts
- Regulatory competence for the petroleum industry
- Min 5 years relevant experience working with SE Asian Contractors
- Fluent in English, verbal and written

- HSE awareness and commitment to excellent safety performance
- Resourceful initiative taker, good communicator
- Good management and team building skills
- Competence within relevant HSE regulations
- Experience of and aptitude for working in a diverse cultural environment
- Prepared and willing to travel and commute
