Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to provide HSSE advice, guidance and support to the GPO Region Logistics Team, reviewing and auditing HSSE performance of the Freight Management Contractor(s) and ensuring HSSE alignment between Logistics Team HSSE management and the GPO HSSE Group.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure Client GPO HSSE standards and expectations are met by the Region Logistics Team, Freight Management Contractor (s) and associated sub-contractors through in office reviews and observations from on-site attendances and physical audits.
• Actively participate in or initiate HSSE risk reviews both internally and with Freight Management Contractor(s) and their principal sub-contractors
• Develop and monitor an Region PSCM HSSE Management Plan and associated systems to provide assurance that risks at suppliers premises are adequately managed and controlled and that all such facilities that can be expected to be visited pose minimal risk to Project personnel during the manufacture, testing, inspection and transhipment of Project equipment.
• Provide HSSE direction and guidance to the GPO Region Logistics Team, QA/QC team and Inspection Service Personnel to assure compliance with Client’s Operating Management System (OMS); The Golden Rules of Safety, Group Standards and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and other relevant Project documentation.
• Develop HSSE Procedures and Guidance documents in-line with Client HSSE Governance incident Investigation Management and Emergency response plan review
General Duties
• Provide assistance during pre and post award activities to assess the capabilities and competence of bidders/suppliers to meet Health, Safety, Security and Environmental expectations.
• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure Client & Project HSSE requirements are being met with regard to all logistics activities, develop remedial actions as required and ensure implementation.
• Oversee, mentor and develop Project Suppliers, Freight Management Contractors and their associated sub contractors to ensure their HSSE compliance with project requirements
• Represent Client with external stakeholders as required
• Develop and participate in safety awareness programs for PSCM office staff and site visiting personnel

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Technical or Business degree
 HSE qualification (Nebosh diploma or equivalent)

 Oil and Gas industry major projects logistics experience
 Experience of working overseas with multi-national workforce
