Rate/Salary: Negotiable
Duration: 12 months renewable

The Company:
A Major Oil & Gas Operator

The Role:
- To assist the Project Direction and the SEQ Management in the organization, management, and control of the HSE Project requirements and in promoting HSE in the Project.
- To perform, supervise, co-ordinate and control all necessary Project HSE activities and to ensure that they are performed in accordance with the Norwegian regulations and with Company Rules, Guidelines and Procedures using best work practices

1. To assist in the definition, establishment and organization of the Project HSE requirements.
2. Using the Norwegian regulation requirements, and the Company Rules, Guidelines, Procedures and best work practices establish a set of Project specific procedures to cover the co-ordination and control of Project HSE objectives.
3. To define and perform the HSE studies at all stages of the Project: Basic engineering, detail design, fabrication and offshore activities.
4. To check that the Contractors’ safety engineering design is in line with the Project HSE objectives.
5. To organize and manage the Company safety teams at Contractors’ Sites for engineering and fabrication.
6. To check that the Contractors’ safety systems at fabrication sites are in line with the Project HSE objectives.
7. To control the internal and external reporting of the Project HSE matters to ensure appropriate content and quality of information and to liaise, as required with other Norwegian Authorities , Company Divisions, and with Partners/Shareholders.
8. To organize and manage the HAZID and HAZOP reviews
9. To monitor all the HSE actions to be implemented in the design and during fabrication
10. To evaluate the HSE performance of the bidders and Contractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (number of years) : 15 - 20
Experience in large Project management (number of years) : 5 - 10
Strong knowledge of the Company Rules and Norwegian regulations
