The Company:
An operating company, in joint venture in Algeria is looking for an HSE Manager on 28/28 rotation, working in the field

The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide guidance and direction to Company HSE Staff. The Company HSE staff is comprised of prevention and intervention disciplines.
• Identify training needs for Company HSE personnel and liaise with RHU for the execution of their training programs.
• Provide HSE support to Company management and operations.
• Assure incidents are reported and appropriately investigated.
• Ensure that the current GB HSE strategy is followed and is applied at Company.
• Work directly with the Company managers and interface with contractors’ management and their supervisors to champion, communicate and coach on HSE processes for the operation.
• Initiate, conduct and follow-up HSE audits of Company compliance to GB HSE Programs and Procedures.
• Participate in HSE auditing to evaluate contractor HSE compliance and performance.
• Assure appropriate HSE related training is provided to Company personnel, which includes GB and contract personnel.


• Participate in various daily / weekly / monthly HSE, management and planning meetings with the Company GB Ops and Contractors.
• Arrange and conduct emergency response planning and exercises to ensure the preparedness of Company and GB emergency response procedures.
• Assure Company specific HSE plans are maintained.
• Assist the Company managers in resolving HS&E concerns.
• Provide HS&E information / engineering expertise to Company.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure that Algerian regulations and reporting requirements are met. Contribute proposals to correct any deficiencies. Report as required to GB HMD.
• Maintain good working relationships with the Algerian authorities such as DMI, Wilaya, ARH and ENACT on behalf of Company GB.
• Regularly review the adequacy of safety systems & procedures at Company.
• Prepares Company HSE budget.
• Collaborate regularly with HBNS HSE to ensure that GB policies and procedures are implemented consistently.
• Report HSE performance as required to the GB HMD-Resp HSE (incident reporting, metrics reports, report preparation).
• Report incidents occurring in Company to GB HMD-Resp HSE in a timely manner and investigated to the GB HSE standard.
• Work with HMD HSE Staff to assure compliance with GB HSE programs.
• While under commissioning, in collaboration with the Commissioning and Operations Teams, help to plan the implementation of HSE processes for the operational phase of Company.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree
• Eligible to receive Algerian work Permit

Required Experience:
• 10 years HSE or related experience with 5 years in Projects or Operations
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment.
• Demonstrated interpersonal / teambuilding skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• English (French and Arabic language skills are advantages, but not mandatory)
• Demonstrated experienced with Safe Systems of Work & Work Permits
• Demonstrated working knowledge of P&IDs
• Demonstrated experience with Incident Investigation & Reporting
