The Company:
Our client is a Global Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group inside which you’ll find an incredible range of expertise and opportunity.
They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
•Reporting administratively to the Group Manager, Loss Prevention or Environment and Sustainability dependent on the candidates dominant discipline, you will join a team of HSE professionals delivering environmental and sustainability requirements to multi-disciplinary projects (then reporting functionally in the project hierarchy to either Project Management or on occasions to the Engineering or Process Managers)
•This role oversees the HSE and / or technical HSE design activity on specific FEED or EPC contracts and interfaces between the other design and wider project disciples, various Sub-contractors & Contractors, Client & Operations, exchange of information, data and tie-ins
•Management of design office based HSE Team reporting within the project executive and including Co-ordination of the Lead HSE design discipline roles
•Management within the wider Design Assurance & Commissioning Department of the Technical HSE Disciplines (Loss Prevention, Process / Design Safety, Fire Systems, Environment & Sustainability)
•Co-ordination of the project level Design Assurance, Process Safety, Fire Systems and Environment & Sustainability functions
•Functional Chair or significant participant in the range of THSE sponsored and wider project reviews
•Responsible for project HSE Compliance in the design phase and overall project Technical HSE performance
•Establishment/implementation of project HSE training programme
•Compilation of design phase HSE Performance Reports / Presentations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Substantial experience in the HSE profession in the energy, oil and gas industries, both in the UK and overseas

•FEED, EPC and PMC experience, including design office HSE management, and preferably some site based HSE management roles

•Relevant first, and preferably, further degree level qualifications covering Engineering, then Process / Design Safety and / or Environmental disciplines

•Preferably Chartered or equivalent status in an Engineering Institution and / or one or more of the relevant Technical HSE disciplines professional bodies

•Significant experience in one or more of the Technical HSE Disciplines

•Fully conversant with OSHAS 18011, ISO 14001
