The Role:
immediate requirement for an experienced HSE Manager to:
1. Provide HSE management support for the 6 months of the drilling campaign to the end of December 2015. The role will be based in the UK and will require visits to the Falklands.
2. Monitor and evaluate the clients operation of its HSE SMS – this will require trips to the Falklands, with an initial trip in late July / August.
3. Review the existing clients SMS and if necessary, update as appropriate.
Although the requirement is initially for six months, there is potential for the role to continue much longer with a suitable candidate.
Candidate profile
• O&G experienced senior HSE manager
• Up to date knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practises
• Operational experience of HSE management in supply base and dockside operations
• Hands-on experience of writing or updating Safety Management Systems
• Pragmatic and practical HSE professional
• Can-do attitude with a focus on completing tasks

Depending upon whether travelling to the Falklands, the previous HSE Manager was working about 10 working days per month. There would be an initially be a greater requirement given the need to become familiar with the operation in the Falklands.
