The Role:
Main Purpose of Position:

• Drive continuous improvement in Health and Safety performance in the fabrication yard
• Advise and assist in implementation of TNS project HSE plan in the fabrication yard
• Provide advice and support on construction Health and Safety issues during module fabrication
• Provide guidance on good HSE practice offshore during the Hook Up and Commissioning phase
• Assure compliance with both Salamander and TNS Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Standards, and Legislative requirements

Key Accountabilities:
• Assure implementation of and compliance with Health and Safety requirements
• Provision of Health and Safety advice to Bualuang Bravo fabrication workers
• Active participation in toolbox talks
• Assist and participate in Job Safety Assessments, inspections, reviews and audits as required. Communicate findings and follow-up
• Monitor Health and Safety performance during the project and possibly following on into Operations
• Provide input and support to incident investigation, analysis and determination of root causes
• Follow up the implementation of any HSE initiatives to ensure satisfactory completion
• Promote a positive Health and Safety culture with the workforce
• Report any and all observed accidents, incidents, near misses and environmental incidents to the Project HSE Manager
• Listen to ideas for HSE improvement from the workforce and, when supported by management assist in the implementation of said enhancements
• Whenever practical ensure that HSE errors and deficiencies are rectified ASAP
• Where HSE errors and deficiencies are not readily rectified, raise them with the Project HSE Manager for Management action

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
(Education, Training, Skills and Experience)
• Health & Safety training to recognised standard (e.g. NEBOSH) or suitable proven experience
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, approved codes of practice and industry standards
• At least 3 years’ experience of oil and gas fabrication activities
• Experience of oil and gas offshore operations beneficial
• Broad knowledge of Operational Health and Safety, management systems, tools and techniques
• Proven ability to influence and mentor construction workers
• Current offshore medical and survival certificates (to OPITO standards) for the offshore phase
• Written and spoken English required to a reasonable level
Key Behaviours:
• Develop, effective and practical solutions and/ or options to ensure performance expectations and targets are met in the fabrication process
• Establish strong relationships with TNS HSE personnel and fabrication supervisors
• Promote and foster an open environment in the workfo
