Our client is a leading global Oil & Gas Operating Company.

The Role:
Responsibilities:

This position serves as the Contractor HSE-SD management representative in Company's Alaska Venture. The work scope will cover the development, planning and execution of Health, Safety and Environmental programs related to Alaska contractor management.

Specific responsibilities include:

•Working with Alaska Venture contractors to continually improve HSE performance by implementing HSE management controls that are appropriate for the level of HSE risk, the organizational relationship with the contractor and the capabilities of the contractor
• Providing strategic development, implementation and oversight of overall Contractor HSE Management activities
• Managing the contractor HSE data-gathering process
• Leading on-site contractor HSE evaluations
• Assisting in the development of contracting strategies and contractor selection as requested
• Providing Contractor HSE Management training to Company and contractor staff
• Working closely with the supply chain organization
• Leading and/or support industry initiatives and alliance opportunities to promote HSE objectives or improvements
• Managing and overseeing special programs in support of Company’s Contractor HSE Management team as a whole (such as contractor orientation design; development of new tools; industry forums, etc.)
• Representing Alaska on Company’s Contractor HSE Management team
• Partnering strategically with Company’s Contractor HSE Manager to ensure consistency of the process application
• Leading the Alaska Venture’s Assurance, Leadership Engagement and Joint Venture HSSE assessment processes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred
At least ten (10) years of experience working in technical disciplines in the EP industry with exposure to HSE responsibilities is preferred
Environmental Management Systems
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated decision making skills
Solid knowledge and understanding of HSSE management systems and processes
Demonstrated ability to determine root cause(s) of problems and develop resolution
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross functional and diverse teams
Knowledge to discern the applicability of HSE laws and regulations and Company policies and standards to contractor activity or situation
Demonstrated experience speaking in public forums
Strong competency with personal computing applications, e.
