The Company:
Our Client has operations in the world’s most important oil and gas regions and are leaders in working in extremely difficult environments. They have interests in many offshore producing fields in the UK, including five operated fields and five partner-operated fields. The company also has interests in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, the Netherlands and Norway. The client is the largest private producer of oil in Kazakhstan and the top O&G producer in Thailand.

The Role:
Provides day to day office building OE HES EM resources and advice, legislative compliance, Incident Investigation, contractor safety pre-qualification assessments, and safe work practices across CBRES managed sites within Aberdeen. Supports Ops and Projects, Real Estate and other functional groups within region. Local custodian of CBRES OE processes, UK custodian of Safety Management System. Provides support and advice as required to business partners in similar functions within region.

Acts as liaison with local business partners (landlord and tenant organizations) and CBRES on-site team members on all OE HES and EP issues. Works with partner organization to find synergies and utilize appropriate OE HES opportunities to co-ordinate and streamline processes that cross organizational boundaries. This includes partnering on local HES committees in various locations as required.
Responsible for providing Facility, Construction Site and Project HES support from concept through operation including: Safety in Design, Code Review, Site HES including inspections and audits, OE Training as required, Contractor HES pre-qualifications, external reporting to government agencies.
Provides updates on legislative and regulatory building codes and industry best practices and shares across CBRES and partner organizations, leading CBRES regional compliance with local regulations and legislation. Liaises with external networks to share industry safety standards both internally and externally.

Supports implementation of OE processes, including process advocate roles as required and manages local skills databases to ensure fit for purpose training and skill sets.
Participates in OE Self- Assessment, and Corporate OE Reviews/Audits. Develops and maintains expertise in a wide range of OE, Health, Environment, Safety and Emergency Preparedness related issues. Delivers EP training to customers and CBRES team across region. Partakes in incident investigations and local data gathering as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The person filling this position should ideally be a recognized Subject Matter Expert in at least one field (OE, Health, Environment, and/or Safety with proven experience of facility, project or construction safety). It is desirable to have demonstrated competency in all of the other disciplines. The incumbent should be able to speak at least one regional or local dialect fluently. The incumbent should have Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related discipline, experience in applied health and safety in a facility, fit out project or construction related role. NEBOSH General Certification or equivalent Certified Safety qualification is preferred. Good knowledge and application of compliance requirements in region would be advantageous.
