The Role:
JOB PURPOSE
Support in planning and execution of HSE requirements in Nyhamna Expansion and minor modification projects as part of the Engineering Team.
The scope includes working with the EPCm contractor on delivery of detailed design and coordinate inputs from working environment specialists, technical safety, environmental and health specialist through design, construction, commissioning and handover. This role will support the Engineering Manager and HSE Manager in the implementation of the Project HSSE activity and Improvement Plans (incl audit & reporting) across the Project.
The role will also facilitate delivery of statutory HSE requirements and guide the HSSE advisors from Contractors.

Key Interfaces: Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Contracting and Procurement, Environment, Technical Safety, Integration Team, Subsea HSE, Health, Security and SP Manager.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage delivery of HSSE requirements during detailed design and follow on engineering, including support of equipment manufacturing, assembly, shipping, and installation at site.
- Implement project HSSE activity plans as per DCAF (Execution). Support management of HSSE in contracts.
- Drive compliance with NORSOK
- Advise Project Leadership Team on HSSE issues especially resulting from activities on site.
- Cascade Learning from Incidents, best practices, drive implementation of HSSE practices in projects according to Regulatory, Regional and OGP guidelines
- Continuously drive HSSE risk identification, assessment and reduction in Project activities.
- Implement the project HSSE & SP strategies
- Lead internal reviews of HSSE execution and progress in closing out actions for Nyhamna Expansion and associated projects
- Provide HSE coaching to project team members, including Contractors
- Support HSE Manager on matters related to construction preparation and Integrated Planning

KEY CHALLENGES
- Working with contractors to create a partnership with strong HSSE culture.
- The ability to communicate effectively across different national, company and discipline cultures
- Promoting and assuring consistent high quality in the application of HSSE philosophies and standards.
- Demonstrate a breadth of knowledge consistent with the scope of the project - upstream, subsea, offshore, marine - and ability to use networks effectively across the organisation.

EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFIECATIONS:
- Minimum Bachelors Degree or equivalent in technical, engineering discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas business with 5+ years as a member of project teams in an HSSE role, preferably including design and execution experience.
A young HSE professional with good acumen may be considered.
- Communication, organisation and networking skills are as critical as technical skills for these roles.
- Ability to influence others in their own terms and communicate in Norwegian.
- Able to start ASAP preferred. Location: Oslo, but spend considerable time in Stord, Stavanger and Aukra.
