The Role:
- Supervises the activities for HSE compliance, of assigned personnel on the site. Attend HSE talks and daily pre job meetings
- Conducts HSE, training programs for all personnel on site and for fire fighting teams. This includes demonstrating the use of equipment, advising emergency/ evacuation procedures, and any other related HSE measures.
- To be proactive in promoting safety awareness at all levels within the site personnel.
- Review work permits system implementation and checks conformity with HSE procedures and signs as HSE controller, as required. Supervises and control all activities on site in HSE concerned during work being carried out and ensures the adherence of HSE rules defined in work permits by auditing those permits daily.
- Promotes the reporting of incidents and anomalies. Assists HSE Superintendent in accident investigation, incidents and near misses and follow-up reporting. This includes investigating breaches of HSE rules, providing verbal warnings and / or informing the HSE Superintendent of major or repeated infringements for his action.
- To track any unsafe act/situation, Near misses and be able to stop work if necessary.
- Coordinates with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, Construction and other concerned personnel for adequate isolation as per standard procedures and work permit requirements.
- Supervises or conduct the checking and testing of all HSE equipment according to their maintenance schedules. This includes setting-up schedules, ensuring maintenance is carried out to specifications and requesting replacement as necessary.
- Take particular attention on the fillings/ records of all certifications and inspections of all HSE equipment (tester, life-saving, rescue and fire-fighting).
- Analyses drill procedures and results, with site HSE team and recommends any amendments to improve efficiency.
- Assists in implementation of various Company procedures related to HSE, hygiene, environmental protection and good housekeeping. This includes proposing various rules, obtaining and posting signs, communication procedures to personnel.
- Performs other similar or related duties such as attending refresher HSE courses, acting as a member of HSE committee, ensuring the maintenance of daily HSE Supervisor log, HSE Technician log, Fire Teams log, files and records, etc.
- Control safety measures for the radiography activities on site.
- Monitor the waste management implementation
- Participate to incident including performance of CTA (Cause Tree Analysis)
- Perform task risk assessment
- Conduct PtW Audits
- Knowledge of international HSE legislation.
- Experience associated with an offshore construction project.
- Knowledge of audit and inspection techniques and procedures.
- Fluency in English (spoken & written).
