The Company:
Our client, an innovator in open hole, multi-completion systems, is looking to add to their growing team in Alberta. This company provides solutions for technically challenging applications in horizontal, vertical, multi-lateral and high pressure / high temperature (HPHT) wells.

This role is open to permanent residents of Canada only

The Role:
The HSE Team Lead will participate in a wide variety of activities at our manufacturing engineering facilities. They will contribute input and make recommendations to the appropriate leaders on various safety, health and environment systems.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities to ensure safety program objectives are met
• Conduct hazard identification and worksite inspections
• Educate staff on safe work procedures and hazard control programs (engineering controls, administrative controls, personal protective equipment)
• Evaluate and prepare action plans for COR audit
• Perform incident and near miss investigations
• Reporting safety statistics
• Lead safety meetings and coordinate manager meetings
• Update and maintain safety manual and communicate changes
• Facilitate training programs (ex: SHE Orientation, WHMIS, TDG, Forklift, Overhead Crane, etc.)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in working with a defined HSE management system
• Experience with compliance and management system audits is an asset
• 2 years’ experience working in the oil and gas field, preferably in field and manufacturing programs
• Familiar with Federal and Provincial Safety regulations
• Experience developing and facilitating training programs
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in an SHE related field
