The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
An opportunity is available for a HSE Team Leader position to provide HSE leadership, guidance and support relating to all activities undertaken in readiness and during operation of the LNG Facility.
Initially utilizing knowledge and experience to develop systems and processes required for operational readiness, this position will then evolve as the transition is made towards operations and the recruitment and supervision of the Onshore HSE Team is undertaken.

Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Ensuring that Safety, including both Process Safety and Occupational Health and Safety, is reinforced as the highest priority in conducting plant operations.
• Assisting in the development of HSE Systems, processes, plans and procedures that will support LNG activities.
• Assisting and providing support in the development of the Operational Safety Case.
• Working with the onshore operations team to resolve HSE issues and minimize occupational risk.
• Developing and implementing HSE capability to support Onshore Operations
• Ensuring familiarity of plant staff and contractors with relevant regulatory obligations, particularly those aspects related to HSE standards, and establish mechanisms to monitor compliance.
• Assisting Onshore Operations Management Team in the development and administration of the annual HSE Management Plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications and a professional registration in a relevant discipline eg OHS.
• Lead OHS auditor and Trained “Root Cause” investigator. Tap Root preferred
• Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry with a team lead role background of some years.
• Ideally working at a lead HSE Level within an operating environment on a major Oil and Gas development
• Strong interpersonal skills in influencing and teamwork
• Previous experience in the development and roll out of HSEMS documentation and programs
• Experience within the HSE requirements of Contractor Management
• Training and competency record indicating exposure and involvement during career in fundamental elements of plant operation (eg. Emergency Management, Supervision / Leadership, Competency Assessment, Incident Investigation, Audits and Inspections, Safety Improvement Initiatives etc)
