The Role:
- To provide HSE assurance of compliance with Client HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
- To provide coaching, mentoring and guidance for the company staff and contractors on Company and the industry best practices.
- To ensure correct application of HSE tools & techniques adopted in the project.

This is a field HSE position to support Wells team on site. The majority of this individual’s time ( 80%) will be devoted to monitoring, coaching/mentoring and sharing Best Practices during work planning and execution of daily rig activities.
• Monitoring of implementation of HSE standards and procedures on sites via inspections and audits.
• Conduct daily site inspections and local audits and ensure minutes / records are taken with actions recorded and tracked until close out.
• Coaching of civils and rig crews on safe implementation of work.
• Prepare inspection reports and submit to HSE lead and site supervisor on regular basis as required.
• Prepare HSE performance data from site, e.g. incidents, STOP cards analysis, site trainings and actions.
• Participate in evaluation of potential contractors, i.e. verification of contractor’s HSE Management Systems Implementation on site;
• Provide input into the project HSE Plan and participate in its updates, review and monitoring of the implementation;
• Provide competent and informed HSE advise to operations on day-to-day activities or follow up with office based HSE function if query cannot be resolved on site or it requires specialist input.
• Ensure that all required information on the use of HSE tools and techniques are readily available to operation personnel. Monitor and assist in the implementation of HSSE standards and procedures of both contractor and company.
• Ensure that any serious non-compliances or violations identified during day-to-day activities or site visits/inspections are reported to Line Supervisor and HSE Lead.
• Ensure that the established deviation process is followed and appropriate authorisations obtained if deviations from standards and procedures are sought.
• Deliver Client specific awareness trainings
• Monitor and review implementation of site safety systems,
• Check compliance with environmental requirements on site,
• Monitor implementation and assist in maintaining Emergency Response and Medical Emergency Response plan, through drills and effective up-to-date procedures.
• Participate and lead worksite Tool Box Talks and HSE meetings: weekly monthly. Provide input on current performance, planned HSE activities, learnings from incidents, etc. Ensure minutes of meeting are taken and kept as part of project HSE documentation.
• Ensure implementation of Incident Reporting and Investigation procedure. Participate or lead the incident investigations when required. Dessiminate learnings from incidents. Facilitate incidents reporting and action tracking in Fountain.
• Collect and report Project HSE statistics

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A recognised HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH).
• Wells operations experience with a minimum of 5 years field HSE exposure and strong HSE track record.
• Ability to find practical solutions in implementation of HSE standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi cultural environment dealing with people of different nationalities.
