The Company:
Our client is a leading oil and gas company.

The Role:
The AK HSE Wells Advisor supports the -AK HS Team Leader and serves as their representative in support of HSE related matters within the Wells Function.

The HSE Wells Advisor will:
• Support the AK Anchorage Staff and the Contractor management to continually improve safety performance
• Interact closely with contractor HSE employees to ensure they understand and comply with Company HSE policies, procedures, incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate pre-job planning, risk assessment, Authorize to Proceed (ATP’s), and task hazard assessments
• Have thorough knowledge of AK and site-specific Company HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Represent the Company AK Health & Safety team at contractor safety meetings, and other meetings.
• Identify and act on any contractor / Company interface issues that could compromise good HSE performance.
• Support leadership and other HSE related meetings with contractors.
• Participate in Company and contractor incident investigations.
• Provide guidance and direction for Tr@ction use by Company and contractor staff.
• Ensure Company project management is informed of HSE incidents in a timely manner. Deliverables
• AK HSE Wells Advisor will provide support for a wide range of activities focused around Contractor Safety Management and compiling and distribution of performance reports.

Expectations include:
• Participation in the up-front planning through the Authorization to Proceed process and monitoring of performance during the work.
• Review incident and near miss reports and ensure that contraction management and contractor HSE representatives are aware of relevant safety information from these reports and safety bulletins
• Implement safety programs and efforts as directed by the AK H& S Team Leader
• Work closely with contractor representatives to ensure adherence to HSE plans and manage any HSE interface issues

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Essential:
Minimum 10 years of significant oil and gas Industry Experience preferable in the area of Drilling and Well Work
• Preferred: Working Knowledge of Drilling Contractor Safety Management Systems Skills/Behaviors or similar as requested.
• Intermediate computer skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience around oil well, excavation activities preferred.
