The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 30 Countries worldwide.In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Construction Stage.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced HSEQ Competency & Training Specialist, to join a major oil and gas company here in Western Australia. This role will be based in the companies central HSEQ team located in their Perth office. The successful applicant will act as the Lead HSEQ CT representative to ensure company C&T materials are effectively developed, implemented and maintained enabling the company to demonstrate that personnel are licensed and competent.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide a high level of technical expertise and guidance to direct reports and the wider organisation in relation to Competency, Training and Awareness requirements to meet company and legislative requirements.
• Coordinate and manage the effective use of consultants and Registered Training Organisations (RTO) based on the applicable workloads and /or the need for specialized services.
• Instil a comprehensive Management of Change process to all CTA activities to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Effectively manage the HSEQ CTA team designated to support Australia.
• Ensure team designated objectives are satisfactorily met in line with the overall HSEQ and annual Targets and Objectives.
• Implement effective CTA processes and procedures in preparation for Operational readiness and future activities.
• Monitor the HSEQ Training provider spend against contract/PO ceilings.
• Lead the development and ongoing management of the HSEQ competency framework.
• Coordinate and provide specific guidance to the development of the companies Competency, Training and Awareness processes.
• Provide input into the continual improvement of the overall company HSEQ management system.
• Coordinate the review / approval of training material and supporting documentation by relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate the review / approval of Training Organisations That provide services to the company.

Key Deliverables:
• Framework agreements in place for the companies Australian training providers to meet business requirements.
• HSE Competency catalogue in place with agreed dossiers and learning interventions identified and maintained.
• Competency, Training and Awareness Standards developed with supporting documentation in place.
• Ensure Company requirements are up to date with industry best practice.
• HSEQ Induction program in place that aligns with Corporate and Operational requirements.
• HSEQ Training modules (including e-learning) in place to support the business needs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Recognized Auditor Qualification with demonstrable experience in leading audits, or reviews in an operational environment.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Resources Industry, applying CTA requirements within a project and / or operational environment.
• Strong understanding of the Australian Qualifications Framework and International CTA codes, standards and regulations relevant to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Demonstrable understanding of Registered Training Organisations, Scopes of Registration and applicable units of competency in regards to HSEQ related CTA.
• Demonstrable experience in contractor management for a wide range of components and manufactured / fabricated assemblies relevant to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Demonstrable experience in a leading a team of employees within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Demonstrable experience managing budgets.
