The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
• To ensure that Company EHS policies and procedures are complied with by Seismic contractors.
• To provide assurance through audit processes that EHS Management System requirements (Company, Contractor and Regulatory) are being achieved.
• To monitor Contractor performance and provide assurance of compliance with Contractor procedures and Company/ Contractor bridging documents.
• To stop activities where EHS standards and/or performance are deemed unacceptable.

• Undertake Risk assessments and audits, including corrective actions tracking to ensure improvement in EHS working conditions and performance.
• Participate in and/or lead incident investigations in compliance with Company incident investigation and reporting requirements.
• Submit all incident and monthly EHS statistics in Emex as per Company reporting procedure.
• Ensure, and test, the contractors capabilities in emergency response preparedness including medivac.
• Ensure compliance with project Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Environmental Management Plan.
• Ensure operations are carried out within the safety guidelines laid down by Company, Contractor, OGP Guidelines, and the IAGC safety training recommendations.
• Observe and participate in all EHS meetings and exercises as required, including follow-up to EHS audits and incidents.
• Provide EHS Leadership to Company and Contractor by demonstrating Company’s EHS commitment in a visible and proactive manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
NEBOSH certificate or similar is minimum EHS qualification.

• At least ten years working EHS experience in the oil and gas industry and onshore remote location seismic experience.
• Proven experience of working in remote operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of identification and control measures of operational risks/hazards in operational sites.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience on the roll-out and implementation of EHS management systems in accordance with recognized international standards.
• Motivated self-starter with a passion for EHS.
• Able to manage EHS activities in multiple locations with minimal supervision or assistance.
• Adaptable in fast changing environments and able to deliver results through a pragmatic and positive approach.
• Able to motivate and influences others in the delivery of good EHS performance.
• Thorough knowledge of EHS regulatory standards and compliance, and technical EHS.
• Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
