The Company:
Seeking suitably experienced HSSE candidates for some FIFO Site roles working on the CSG LNG project Central Queensland.

The Role:
Must have good construction background; Coverage includes Miles and W'Creek. Required start August and will mobilise to site September. Rotation 15days/6days.

The Safety Advisor will play a key role in monitoring and improving the HSSE aspects of their assigned focus area within Upstream Projects.
A key focus of this role requires the incumbent to maintain compliance with relevant legislative frameworks as well as communicate and implement any changes to HSSE framework as required.
Able to undertake any other responsibility as directed by the direct and functional reporting management team.
Ensure all Project staff are informed of any changes to the HSSE legislative framework that will have a direct or indirect impact on Project activities
Advise Supervisors and Superintendents about the health and safety of the site. This process shall include feedback through the Company reporting process
Conduct site inspections at the workplace to identify positive conditions as well as hazards and unsafe or unsatisfactory occupational health and safety issues that may affect any individual or group that may be exposed to that issue
Able to review site documentation in consultation with the Projects Safety Manager to ensure validity of documentation system is maintained
Participate in JOB Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) reviews
Liaise on OH&S matters with construction supervision to ensure involvement in all site activities
Investigate incidents in accordance with Company Project requirements
Attend toolbox talks on a regular basis and ensure that they are being conducted in a professional and capable manner
Carry out regular checks and issuance of permits to work
Advise and assist in controlling areas where critical tasks are being undertaken (e.g. pressure tests, heavy lifts)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HSSE experience within the oil and gas industry
Ability to work in remote location with limited direct supervision.
Worked in a similar position within the last two years
Knowledge of the Impact of Health, Safety, Security and Environment on the organisation internally and externally knowledge of Safety Case legislation requirements would be an advantage
Experience with the Queensland Petroleum and Gas Act and Regulation (the legislation) and how it is applied in the workplace
