The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil, Gas and Energy Industry.

The Role:
Role Outline:
The purpose of the role is to support M&A activities across the business in identifying and managing the HSSE aspects that impact major transactions, generally greater than US$50 million. Transactions include divestments, acquisitions and joint venture formation.

Key Accountabilities:
1)Identifies and quantifies the risks and liabilities associated with a major acquisition or divestment, and develops and implements options for mitigation.

2)Provides business management with options for negotiations with the associated impacts for each option. Activity includes the review sale and purchase and joint venture agreements, warranties, indemnities, etc from an HSSE prospective.

3)Manages the HSSE aspects for the integration, or separation of a business or asset.

4)Manages the internal and external HSSE support for the project and accountable for the overall quality of the support in terms of relevance, timeliness and accuracy.

5)Champions the development and implementation of business processes, procedures and tools that integrate HSSE considerations into business development processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in science, engineering or environmental

Minimum of 10 years experience engineering, operational or commercial experience with at least 5 years experience in a HSSE-related field.

Requires sound business acumen, and a good working knowledge of health, safety and environmental management systems, practices and regulations, and environmental liability aspects. Good communication skills and strong customer focus are necessary.

Understanding financial and accounting information (GIAAPS)
