The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies conducting business in countries all around the globe. They are engaged in every aspect of the crude oil and natural gas industry, including exploration and production, manufacturing, marketing and transportation, chemicals manufacturing and sales, geothermal, power generation, renewables and advanced technologies.

The Role:
The Team’s scope includes working with the EPCm contractor on delivery of greater than 14000 Mt of complex process modules at a number of global fabrication sites (Norway, EE and China), International Marine, Land and Air Logistics and production of site installation workpacks. This role will support the Construction Manager – Modules in the implementation of the Project HSSE activity and Improvement Plans (incl audit and reporting) across the module construction scope including fabrication operations, global Freight forwarding and Logistics and Workpack generation. The role will also facilitate delivery of statutory HSE requirements and guide the HSSE advisors from Contractors.

1. Manage delivery of HSSE requirements during equipment manufacturing, assembly and shipping to installation site.
2. Implement project HSSE activity plans as per DCAF (Execution). Support management of HSSE in contracts.
3. Drive and coordinate delivery of quality HSSE expert advice and support Kværner, fabrication and logistics Contractors on Safe work systems.
4. Drive compliance with NORSOK, standards and local procedures on work processes and products
5. Advise Project Leadership Team on HSSE issues especially resulting from activities on site.
6. Cascade Learning from Incidents, best practices, drive implementation of HSSE practices in projects according to Regulatory, Regional and OGP guidelines
7. Continuously drive HSSE risk identification, assessment and reduction in Project activities.
8. Implement the project HSSE and SP strategies
9. Lead internal reviews of HSSE execution and progress in closing out actions
10. Provide HSE coaching to project team members, including Contractors
11. Liaise with Modules Construction Manager and HSE Lead

KEY CHALLENGES: - Working with contractors to create a partnership with strong HSSE culture, particularly at Fabrication yards and construction sites. - Extensive travelling within Europe, Asia and other parts of the world to guide contractors and perform HSSE assurance activities. - The ability to communicate effectively across different national, company and discipline cultures - Promoting and assuring consistent high quality in the application of HSSE philosophies and standards. - Demonstrate a breadth of knowledge consistent with the scope of the project - upstream, subsea, offshore, marine

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelors Degree or equivalent in technical and engineering discipline
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas business with 6+ years as a member of project teams in an HSSE role, preferably including execution (construction) experience.
Communication, organisation and networking skills are as critical as technical skills for these roles.
Ability to influence others in their own terms and communicate in Norwegian
