The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Support the Project One Team, Company and EPCI Contractor, in developing, rolling out, implementing and keeping evergreen fit for purpose:
• Project specific HSSE training
• HSSE Competence assurance
• Behavioral Based Safety Program
Aligned with the Project HSSE Policy and Vision of no harm to people today, tomorrow, always and no incidents.
The position requires effective, passionate engagement at all levels of an organization and at least 50% time spent on
site, making sure the Project HSSE training and BBS program are effective in addressing the HSSE risks.

Position description - Accountabilities
The incumbent will report to the Construction HSSE Manager and will be part of the Construction HSSE Team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and keep evergreen the Project HSSE Training
- Deliver visitors and staff safety training and orientation.
- Coordinate the HSSE competence assurance throughout the execution; HSSE Leadership and Training matrix of required training per specific role, per Project phase;
training records system for Project personnel, making sure all Personnel trained as required, gaps closed and a refresher carried out in a timely manner.
- Act as a coach and mentor on HSSE Leadership skills, at all levels –workforce, Contractor’s HSSE Trainers and Personnel; Construction and Project Leads.
- Assist the Contractor in the set up, roll out and implementation of the Project specific Training and competence assurance– supporting the training Packages
development, Contractor’s HSSE Training Matrix
establishment, resourcing of the roll-out program. At the SHI Yard and at external Subcontractors sites.
- Assist the Contractor in the development and roll out of the Project Behavioral Based Safety Program.
- Assist in bringing external expertise where required, coordinate roll-out, e.g. ROSPA, CITB, etc.
- Assist in evaluation of HSE performance of subcontractors.

Improvements follow-up as necessary.
- Spend time on site (50%) to check training and BBS program effectiveness, engaging with the workforce, coaching on hazards recognition, intervention; monitoring
and improving quality of toolbox talks and task briefings.
- Propose and assist in launching safety campaigns; Shell Safety Day coordination on site.
SHI Golden Safety Rules, Stop Work and Shell Life Saving Rules implementation is a key KPI and deliverable.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Passionate believer and a key player in delivery of behavioral based safety programs (BBS). Capable in engaging at all levels in an organization, promoting
HSSE Leadership in a credible and effective manner.
2. Understands HSSE management systems and processes and how they link to and support BBS.
3. Good understanding of organizational effectiveness.
4. Good planner and organizer. Self starter.
5. Positive, compassionate attitude. Team player.
6. Effective oral and written communication skills.English language fluency is a must.
7. Mastery in personal computing applications, e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
8. HSSE Professional qualification, e.g. NEBOSH, is desired.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
1. At least 5 years working experience in Construction (offshore or onshore) in the oil and gas or shipbuilding industry.
2. Prior experience required in :
• Being an inspirational HSSE Trainer, a Safety/ Behavioral Based Safety coach;
• Setting up HSSE Training capability in Projects and developing topical HSSE Training packages;
• Implementing BBS in multicultural setting;
• Establishing and implementing Behavioral Based Safety Programs in Projects.
3. Previous HSSE assignments in Shell’s Projects.Applying local HSSE regulations and Shell HSSE standards and requirements (desired).
4. Previous working experience in South Korea in a similar role (desired). Additional comments Other Capabilities
- Fitness to work on a site is required. The job will involve site walkthroughs and interaction with the workforce on site, climbing and wearing personal protective equipment in a dynamic onshore
construction site environment.
- Valid driving license and defensive driving training.
