The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
As an integral team member of the Owners team, the HUC Project Engineer, will provide specific multi-discipline project engineering input into the separate Upstream Hook Up and Commissioning (HUC) contract. Assigned work will cover, as required, marine management, materials management and logistics support. The initial assignment in Perth will involve preparation for offshore HUC work associated with the platform, including interfacing with the platform fabrication team in Korea and Company Integrated Start-up team (ISUT). This role will initially support the HUC Coordinator and Marine Coordinator during the onshore preparation phase in Perth. In Q1 2015 this role will transfer to an offshore rotation position (with a B2B) on the platform during HUC. Main tasks include the following:
• Ensure Platform HUC logistic systems are in place, processes working and a seamless flow of materials and resources are maintained at all times, particularly from South Korea fabrication yard to NWS Area of Operations.
• Monitor and/or manage the delivery / procurement of any and all materials required to execute the offshore HUC SOW, either supplied by Company, Company fabrication contractor and HUC Contractor.
• Drive the day to day logistics activities of the HUC Contractor and provide overall assurance activities, whilst maintaining alignment with Upstream Logistics Manager’s overall project strategies.
• Perform COMPANY input and assurance to HUC Contractor’s support services, including subcontract management.
• As required, ensure that the HUC marine scope, including vessel mobilization and demobilization are planned and executed safely, and are fully integrated with onshore and offshore operations (including fuel supply, offloading activities etc.).
• Ensure that HUC Contractor mobilizes and demobilizes all equipment safely to and from the platform.
• Company HUC team offshore focal point for all daily marine vessel and material management issues, and provide oversight of HUC Contractor associated work.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10+ years, 5 years as lead project engineer – specifically offshore platform pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up Work, including materials management and logistics
Completions Management Systems (CMS) understanding. Good written and oral communication, attention to detail, team player, able to effectively lead assigned HUC contractor personnel to execute work in multiple locations. Willingness to travel and work offshore rotation
