The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
The Rotating Equipment Engineer will provide mechanical engineering support focusing on rotating equipment, but will also support other areas of mechanical engineering as needed. Initially the Rotating Equipment Engineer will work in the fabrication yard in South Korea, supporting the HUC and Engineering team with planning for offshore hook up and commissioning. The successful candidate will then transition to the offshore team on rotation to support the technical aspects of all mechanical equipment, but primarily the rotating equipment gas turbine generators, gas turbine compressors, and pumps. Other mechanical packages include flares, pig traps, pressure vessels, exchangers, etc., including managing multi-disciplinary input from Structural, Electrical, Instrument, and Safety. Position requires familiarity with industry and company standards, specifications, guidelines, and relevant codes and standards.

The MSP scope includes the greenfield installation of a central processing complex (CPC), consisting of a primary processing platform (PPP), living quarters platform (LQP) and flare tower (all bridge connected) plus two new wellhead platforms. These facilities will be located in Angola in approximately 160 ft water depth. All CPC topsides decks will be fabricated in Korea with associated jackets and piles fabricated in Angola. The position will be initially located in South Korea, transitioning to rotational offshore Angola.

Estimated Duration:

• Korea (Resident) – approximately 6 Months
• Angola Offshore (Rotational) – approximately 18 Months

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS Preferred) & Minimum of 10-15 Years of applicable experience required

Technical Expertise:
Prior experience in facility fabrication, installation of mechanical equipment is needed, with operational/troubleshooting experience strongly preferred. Experience with static and rotating packaged equipment required. The position requires expertise with mechanical equipment on an offshore platform, with a focus on large rotating equipment. Familiar with industry and Company standards, specifications, and guidelines for rotating and static equipment & packaged equipment skids. Experience with vendor rotating mechanical equipment design, manufacturing, and testing is beneficial. Able to provide technical evaluation of mechanical equipment and piping design. Handles large number of concurrent activities; manages outside resources when necessary.
