The Role:
Reports to and acts in an advisory capacity to the HUC Manager for all matters relating to the hook-up and commissioning of the Conwy facilities on the Douglas platform.

Workforce being supervised consists of up to 100 personnel, typically up to 60 on days and up to 40 on nights.

•Monitors and reports on EOGR/PSN technical adherence to approved HUC plans, procedures and specifications.
•Monitors the HUC activities of EOGR/PSN to ensure the timely achievement of project plans and objectives.
•Perform daily offshore site inspection (walkabout).
•Perform weekly offshore safety and housekeeping audit.
•Conducts periodic reviews of HUC schedules to assess progress and recommends corrective/recovery actions, where appropriate.
•Ensures effective implementation of Petroleum policies, practices and applicable regulations.
•Work within the Corporate and Petroleum HSE Management System including Permit to Work, SIMOPS & Risk Management.
•Ensure the PTW system is implemented effectively and efficiently and that all personnel are familiar with and competent to use the PTW system.
•Promote a risk-based approach to construction management, including participation in hazard assessments.
•Lead initiatives to promote visible and pro-active management commitment and team involvement in HSE & Quality activities related to the offshore HUC work scope;
•Monitors the timely production of HUC documentation.
•In conjunction with the HUC Manager, liaises closely with the platform operations and shutdown teams to ensure timely handover of systems during offshore commissioning activities.

•The main duties are expected to be performed on a 2-weeks on/2-weeks off rotation, based on the Seafox 7.
•There will be a period of a few weeks in the offices for supervisor training and familiarisation. This will be on a Monday to Friday office hours basis.
•There may be a period of rotational work based on the Douglas platform complex, both before and after arrival of the Seafox 7 (March 2013 and August 2013 respectively).
•Total assignment duration is expected to be February 2013 to October 2013 and possibly longer.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified to ONC level or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.

Minimum of 15 (preferably 20) years experience in the onshore/offshore oil & gas industry, with at least 5 (preferably 10) years in a hook-up/construction/commissioning supervision role.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Offshore North Sea experience would be desirable.
