The Company:
Our client, an international major oil and gas operator, seeks a Senior Construction Engineer (Hull) to join their team.

The Role:
• This position is responsible for managing the fabrication of the FPSO hull and significant liaison with the turret integration and interfaces, including the development of associated plans and procedures, and will assist with system completion and turnover to Operations.
• This role will require extensive interfacing (some travel) with the FEED Contractor and COMPANY personnel on Hull and Marine with some interfacing with FPSO Topsides Design Teams, Turret, Procurement, HES, Operations, Quality Assurance, Systems Completion teams and several Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) and Installation Contractors to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the Project objectives.
• As the hull construction engineer, this position will be responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in the development of numerous plans, schedules and budgets in addition to the development of the site organizational structure.
• Supervisory responsibilities (both direct and indirect reports) include staffing and oversight of Company and Contractor representatives needed to oversee effective FPSO hull fabrication, turret integration, system completion and turnover by the shipyard contractor at his international site.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BS, MBA in Engineering, preferably Construction
10+ Years of Directly related experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Demonstrated FPSO hull fabrication / construction experience on projects >$1B.
• Experienced at integrating large internal turrets within the FPSO. Track record working relatively autonomously managing significant work scopes at fabrications sites as a key Company representative.
• Familiar with the hull block fabrication methodology applied by shipyards in the Far East.
• Demonstrated ability to manage interfaces and coordinate with other functional groups to manage multiple work locations, and to manage 3rd party contractor performance.
• Direct experience with international projects required.
• Deepwater, harsh environment installation experience preferred. Fabrication experience in the Far East will be an advantage.
