The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
CPF team in London for the remainder of 2011. In early 2012 the CPF team will mobilise to the offices of the detail design contractor. The key responsibilities for this role include:

Manage the multidiscipline Engineering team in line with project requirements to supervise efficiently the EPSCC Contractor for all engineering aspects (from detailed design to field engineering)

Direct/advise the project team and Contractors on marine/naval architectural aspects of the design, construction, integration, transportation and final installation of the CPF, to meet project requirements

Identify and organize all required Engineering support (internal recruitment, Third Party support, Joint-Venture partner technical support, etc.) in liaison with the CPF Topsides and Hull Managers

Ensure project deliverables and activities associated with Hull engineering are achieved in accordance with the project schedule and meet the quality required
Is responsible for the implementation of HSE project requirements into the design as well as organization/implementation of HAZID/HAZOP/PTR requirements
Take into account in the Engineering all requirements linked to all phases of project: Fabrication, Construction, Integration, Transportation, Installation, hook-up, Commissioning and Operation.

Anticipate and schedule engineering activities to meet procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, hook-up and logistics requirements and provide adequate reporting to the CPF Hull Manager, CPF Topsides Engineering Manager and other counterparts in the CPF organization.

Ensure that all technical issues are properly identified and manage their resolution with the support of the Hull Engineering Coordinator and Topsides Engineering Manager
Review and / or approve all engineering / design documents (including Vendors and Suppliers documentation), in liaison with the Senior Area Engineers and the engineering specialists within the CPF engineering team including other external specialists when required

Manage for CPF Hull the derogation to Company specifications or deviations requests / clarifications to Project specifications related to engineering works
Ensure the review of contractor documentation, project philosophies and specifications to ensure compliance with accepted industry practice and Marine Warranty and Classification Society requirements.

Ensures the validation, certification and classification as appropriate for any part of the plant for the engineering phase in liaison with the CPF QA/QC Manager;
Report progress of the work related to safety, schedule, quality, technical matters, cost, etc. and raise to its management any issues in a timely manner

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate should be a tertiary qualfied engineer in naval architecture or structural engineering. This should be complemented by at least 12 years in Naval / Floating Installations project management with a heavy background in Engineering and Offshore Operations.

They should be able to demonstrate a high awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, precommissioning, atshore commissioning, offshore installation and hookup and offshore commissioning of Oil and Gas facilities. Furthermore they should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal communication / written skills and ability to manage and work with different disciplines and cultures.
