The Company:
Our Client is one of the world’s leading Management and Construction Consultants.

The Role:
Providing technical Human Factors input to design and assurance activities on Re-kit programmes.
Managing the Human Factors resource for Re-kit programmes to ensure fit for purpose Human Factors input.
Provide general assurance support to the ongoing programme of work, to include preparation of safety case documentation in support of evolving designs.
Ensure compliance with Company Assurance (ESH&Q) and statutory requirements.
Assure application of appropriate Human Factors standards for facilities through life.
Support Intelligent Customer interface with Regulators within the Re-kit programmes
Promote Human Factors Review Learn & Improve within Re-kit programmes
Produce human factors assessments and other technical inputs to the design process and to safety cases and safety documentation for Re-kit programmes.
Ensure that Human Factors support overhead costs are optimised within Re-kit programmes
Develop relationships with external resource providers within Re-kit programmes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Human Sciences based subject.
Registered Member of the Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (desirable).
Experience of HF input to safety cases for a high hazard industry (preferably nuclear).
Good working knowledge of Human Factors Integration into the design process.
Specialist knowledge of human factors assessment methods.
Experience of applying human reliability techniques (e.g. THERP).
Good working knowledge of HF-related legislation and standards (e.g. PUWER, LOLER, Machinery Directive, Manual Handling Regulations,
British Standards/ ISO).
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
Proven ability to integrate with engineering and safety assurance teams to deliver efficient HF solutions within tight timescales.
Medically fit to access controlled areas.
DV level clearance will be required for work involved

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of doing human factors assessments for radiological hazards.
