The Company:
Our Client is a global leader in the supply of facilities and services for the development and production of offshore oil and gas fields as well as the systems relevant to mooring technology. Due to rapid growth they require the best engineers available to support their operations world wide.

The Role:
Manage human factor related activities for the client projects,
Provide human factor guidance and proactively support the development of a safe and effective facilities,
Overview od safe critical tasks to provide insight to reducing and preventing the occurence of major accidents hazards,
Oversee the management of a human factor register,
To act as a single point of contact for all Client human factors matters.

Review and compare human factors requirements, check for gaps in project scope and highlight these to project management.
Support design, assessment and evaluation activities by providing human factor guidance in the form of requirements, specifications, additional detail, clarification, good practice and experience.
Review documents, reports and draft deliverables in accordance with human factors requirements and good practice; provide constructive comments for recommanded actions.
Manage formal review comments and actions; also responsible for ensuring a human factors register is maintained.
Conduct detailed package equipment reviews and ensuring the design is safe and in accordance with human factors requirements.
Asses the probability and consequences of erroneously performed safety critical tasks. This will include development of viable options for optimal solution where the risks are deemed unacceptable.
Provide specific support to the project as part of the safety and loss prevention engineering team, e.g. assessment of design options, addressing ad hoc queries.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
5 years experience in engineering/construction industry
Knowledge of latest UK and classification society requirements for human factors

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Member of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (MIEHF)
